Dear Friend,
This year, our B’nai B’rith Sports Lodge
will award 25 scholarships to deserving high school
graduating boys and girls. These awards continue a 42 year
tradition during which we have helped nearly 1,000 youths with the
costs of their college education, giving out nearly
$2,000,000!
Our support for college bound boys and girls, via this
scholarship program, represents the signature activity
of our Lodge… and in this activity, we need your help.
Profits from our annual Golf Classic are the
largest source of support for our Lodge, helping us to continue our
scholarship program. You can help
us with this charitable effort. Here’s
how.
GOLF
You won’t find a
better value for your golfing buck. Lunch,
dinner, prizes, golf, cart and
fun… and all for $190. Shotgun teeoff at 1:00
PM.
DINE Last year, the
name of our golf classic was permanently changed from “Swing
for Scholars” to “The Bill Stein Memorial”, honoring late member
Bill Stein's tireless efforts in behalf of past lodge golf
tournaments. Profits from these events enabled us to continue
support for our lodge youth scholarship and youth athletic awards
activities.
Please join us at our Charity Dinner after
the tournament for a special ceremony honoring the Greater Vest Side
Club, a wonderful charitable Jewish organization honoring the
residents of Chicago's old "West Side". Non-golfer cost is $85 (golfer's dinner is included in tournament
fee).
